USWaterRockets.com - Tutorial 23 - Clark Cable Tie Release Mechanism.
May 10, 2013

A simple method for constructing a Clark Cable Tie Release Mechanism

Video tutorial:

This tutorial will teach you a very simple and quick way to make a Clark Cable Tie Release Mechanism for Water Rockets. We start out with the 22mm Launch Tube which we built in our recent tutorial on the subject, and we add our own version of Ian Clark's popular Clark Cable Tie Release Mechanism to create a very robust Water Rocket Launching System.

This Tutorial is an updated version of our Water Rocket Launcher tutorial, which we did several years ago, but we have made some refinements to the construction of the release mechanism in the years since that tutorial was created. This new tutorial is much easier to build and requires a lower skill level, making it a great project to build with students or your children.
