On June 1, 2007, Raytheon Company’s Integrated Defense Systems’ (IDS) Young Employees Support Network (YESNet) and MathMovesU (MMU) sponsored twenty-four 7th and 8th grade boys from Bellesini Academy in Lawrence, MA in a visit to IDS Headquarters to learn about rocket science using Water Rockets. Not only did the kids love shooting off the rockets, but they tested the knowledge of the YESNet engineering volunteers by asking a broad range of questions, varying from colleges and careers to mathematics and science.
